Significant/Familiar Place

For the significant/familiar places part of the brief i wanted to take photos of the street i grew up, i was quite inspired by Boris Mikahilov's 'Dusk' (link goes to the post on my research blog) and wanted the photos to have quite a dreamy, nostalgic feel, and since this is where i lived when i was a child my memories are quite hazy so i wanted it to represent that too. I shot a film here a few weeks ago, and tried cross processing it - although apparently the chemicals had been left open so the film didnt turn out, i went to reshoot it yesterday and decided to process it normally.  Everything seemed bigger when i lived there so i shot from quite a low angle. I used my Holga 120 GCFN, with Fujicolour PRO 400. I decided to use my holga because it's a plastic toy camera and can produce quite strange results, the cheap lens on it makes for lovely vignettes! I haven't been back there much since i lived there, so the whole experience was quite surreal (and a little bit creepy!)
